He can play the game, but she’ll make the rules

Political science professor Kat Driscoll will not be “handled” by anyone. Certainly not by Alex Santiago, the suave, savvy and handsome campaign manager for Senator Roberts, the man recently revealed to be her father. Alex clearly sees the sudden revelation of his candidate’s long-lost daughter as an unfortunate glitch in their race for reelection. One that needs to be carefully spun and managed. But Kat isn’t about to play along, or comply with Alex’s ridiculous attempts to make her more media friendly. He’ll have to deal with the real Kat. And maybe, in the process, she can discover the real Alex…

Dear Reader,

As a resident of the Washington, DC, area, I am constantly fascinated by the family lives of elected officials and those around them.  I see Capitol Hill staffers work themselves to the bone, sacrificing friendships and love because they believe in their leader.  While TV shows sensationalize political deal-making, the staffers who advise our elected officials are no different from you and me.  They make tough calls, and sometimes they make mistakes.  For the most part, they’re trying to do the right thing.

The Senator’s Daughter is the story of Katerina Driscoll, who has lived her life in the shadow of her obligations until her father’s identity brings her into the political limelight.  It’s also the story of Alex Santiago, a first-generation American for whom politics is about power; the power to change lives and to change how the world sees people like him and his mother.  The book is about confronting the inner demons that keep us from being happy, set in the midst of Washington, DC, politics.

I am tickled to share my hometown with you.  To get free book extras, including some Washington, DC, insider information, visit my website at  I love hearing from readers, so please find me on Twitter (@SophiaSasson) or Facebook (SophieSassonAuthor), or email me at

Returning from active duty to find his ranch being dug up by a beautiful stranger isn’t the homecoming navy SEAL Gavin Blake expected. Layla Harris is convinced there’s buried treasure on his land. But the only treasure this wealthy rancher wants to uncover is the professor’s secret desires! When Layla unearths family secrets—and mysterious threats—he vows to do whatever it takes to protect her. Even as her revelations change everything…

Dear Reader,

It’s hard to believe that I introduced the Westmorelands almost fifteen years ago.  At the time, little did I know you would welcome them into your home and heart the same way I had allowed them into mind.  Originally, the Westmoreland family’s series was intended to be just six books, but more than thirty books later the saga continues.

I am proud to present the first book in a spin-off series about the friends and family of the Westmorelands – The Westmoreland Legacy series.  First on centre stage is Gavin Blake.  Gavin, code name Viper, is a Navy SEAL and a good friend to Bane Westmoreland.  You met Viper in Bane.

While writing Bane’s story, Viper stood out, and I knew I had to tell his story.  I believe I selected the perfect heroine for Viper.  She’s a woman by the name of Layla Harris.  Both Viper and Layla discover that when it comes to true love, anything is possible.

I hope you enjoy reading their story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Happy reading!

A love worth waiting for

Walking in her sisters’ successful footsteps is a tough act to follow. But Summer Dupree has high hopes for the new Bare Sophistication lingerie boutique slated for a grand opening in Miami. Then she spies a familiar face. Up-and-coming fashion photographer Aiden Chase brings back cherished—and painful—memories. And now her childhood confidant and fiercest protector is determined to take their former relationship to a new intimate level.

In the magic city to pursue his dreams, Aiden isn’t letting Summer slip away again. He can’t change the past—or events that altered his best friend’s life forever. But he’s ready to create a future together. Even when an unexpected threat resurfaces, Aiden won’t give up this time without a fight. Can he turn his long-simmering passion for Summer into a love story for the ages?

Dear Reader,

When I was initially creating the Dupree sisters, Summer was the sister I was ready to write about first.  Winter, Autumn and Summer are each unique in their own way, but Summer proves that sometimes you have to take a deeper look to understand what someone is going through.

I experienced a range of emotions while writing Summer and Aiden’s story.  I laughed.  I cried.  I jumped for joy after writing some scenes, while breathing a sigh of relief for others.  I’m a huge fan of friends-turned-to-lovers story lines, so I knew Aiden would be perfect for Summer.  They both have experienced disappointments and endured setbacks that have altered their friendship.

Danni’s story is next and will release in spring 2017.  I can’t wait for readers to meet the real Danni Allison.  Be prepared for a few surprises you won’t see coming!

Much love,

When a baby is abandoned on his doorstep, cowboy Tony Nakni is blindsided. He never wanted to be a father, but his ex-girlfriend is on the run and tells Tony he’s the only person she trusts to keep little Joey safe. Struggling with the infant, Tony turns to caring Mary Redwing for help.

Lovely Mary agrees to help care for the child, but a shared desire simmering between her and Tony soon intensifies the arrangement. As the search for Joey’s mom brings grave danger to their doorstep, his protective instincts emerge, unearthing the depth of his feelings. But can the rugged rancher save the family he’s falling for…before it’s too late?

Dear Reader,

Like my hero, Tony Nakni, I love autumn.  I enjoy the cool evening breezes, the changing colors of the tree leaves and that crisp, clean scent that lingers in the air.

However, for Tony autumn brings big changes when his ex-girlfriend drops off a baby and tells him the child is his.  Before he can ask any questions she’s gone, and the cowboy is left with the three-month-old baby.  In desperation he seeks the help of Mary Redwing, a woman who has secrets of her own.

Tony and Mary not only face an unexpected danger but also a surprising passion.  In order to protect the child, they will not only have to put their lives on the line, but also their hearts.

Oh, yes, I love autumn, especially when it brings a shout of danger and a whisper of desire.

I hope you enjoy reading Operation Cowboy Daddy, the newest book in the Cowboys of Holiday Ranch series.

Happy reading!

Trusting in the sweetness of love

Jackson Drayson has never been one to stick to the rules—or resist a dare. So when he’s challenged to jump-start a patisserie that rivals his cousins’ shop, Lillian’s of Chicago, he’s all in. Between his good looks, captivating manner and newly discovered gift for innovative cake designs, Jackson is soon winning over legions of customers, including Grace Nicholas. The willowy, reserved master baker is also Jack’s chief competition—and the one woman who seems immune to his legendary charms.

The delectable desserts she creates at her family’s leading Seattle bakery are all the temptation Grace needs in her life. A lover’s betrayal has made her wary of trusting another man. But Jackson can be so passionately persuasive…until Grace is accused of stealing his shop’s top secret recipe. Torn between loyalty and love, will Grace make the decision that can assure her a lifetime of sinfully sweet pleasure?

Dear Reader,

Have you ever felt an immediate connection to someone?  Mind-blown chemistry you couldn’t deny or control?  That’s what happens to Jackson Drayson when he meets Grace Nicholas.  His plan?  To win her heart.  But things go awry during their first date.  He burns dinner, then accidentally locks them in the bakery freezer.  Though all isn’t lost.  Jackson has seduction on his mind, and will stop at nothing to prove he’s the only man she needs.

Grace is torn.  Should she remain loyal to her family or follow her heart?  It’s an impossible decision to make, and secretly dating Jackson – her father’s sworn enemy – only complicates matters.  The dreamy baker is sweet and romantic, charming, too, and his kisses are as scrumptious as his pastries.  Grace and Jackson are a perfect match, and I think you’ll agree.

I enjoyed writing this series with my Kimani sisters, Yahrah St. John (Cappuccino Kisses), and Jamie Pope (Love and a Latte), and I’m eagerly looking forward to our next one!  🙂

All the best in life and love,

Pamela Yaye

Dear Reader,

Have you ever wondered how books are titled?  Who comes up with the name and how it’s decided upon?  Mostly it’s up to the author to make suggestions, then it goes to editorial, where they either chose a title from the list the author submitted or make new suggestions, based on the marketing of the book.

Thinking up titles has always been a challenge for me.  I never seem to have just the right one floating around in my head.  I appreciate that it’s not solely up to me.  Some of my favourite titles were created by editors or marketing executives.

But I have to say, Lost and Found Husband came naturally to me for this book.  I titled the first book in my Family Renewal duet lost and Found Father because the hero in that story had given up his baby daughter for adoption and was being reunited with her eighteen years later.  In this book, the hero (who is that child’s adoptive parent) was once a happy and well-adjusted husband who’d tragically lost his wife.  Now he is in a position to be a husband all over again, to start fresh, to regain the joy that he’d lost, only with someone new.

So…I give you Lost and Found Husband, a book with an emotionally wounded hero and the lovely young woman who helps him find his way back home.

Hugs and Happily Ever after,

Sheri WhiteFeather

Dear Reader,

I’m very excited to introduce you to Shane Westwood and Emma Rawlings.  Writing their story was an absolute blast!  Shane is a smoke jumper used to fighting extreme fires in the West, and Emma is a photojournalist who is always after the most dangerous stories.  Yes, they are two hotheads!  Two stubborn people who fight against love, but when they finally start to give in, boy, do the fireworks start!  They took me from scaling walls, to jumping out of airplanes…to hot, sultry nights making love under a starlit sky.  I hope you enjoy reading their story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I loved the West so much that I decided to stay there for a while.  Look for To Tempt a Wilde, book one in my new Wilde family spring.  I appreciate your support and will do my best to continue writing hot, sexy exciting stories featuring alpha men and the women they love!

Taming the playboy prince!

Sultan Kadir Al Sulaimar may be Europe’s most notorious playboy, but since his bride-to-be finally came of age, he’s sworn to be faithful to the princess he’s never met.

Yet when feisty helicopter pilot Lexi Howard saves his life, she turns Kadir’s regimented world upside down. His first duty must be to his country, but avoiding the sensual pilot is becoming increasingly difficult…especially now that she’s working for him!

Lexi’s disregard for his command is somewhat…refreshing. Can the desert king resist making her his final—and most forbidden—conquest?

Dear Reader,

Sisters often share a special bond of love and friendship – as I do with my own sister.  I am fascinated by this unique relationship, and decided to write a duet featuring two sisters.

However, when I thought of Lexi, the heroine of Sheikh’s Forbidden Conquest, I realised that her relationship with her younger sister Athena was complicated because Lexi was adopted.  A year later her adoptive parents had a much longed for daughter of their own, and made it clear to Lexi that they preferred Athena.

Lexi has demonstrated her bravery as an RAF pilot, flying rescue missions in Afghanistan, but sparks fly when she goes to work for Sultan Kadir Al Sulaimar in his desert kingdom of Zenhab.  The cultural differences between them are just one barrier they face, and they know they must resist the sizzling chemistry that ignites whenever they are near each other!

In my second book, shy Athena wishes she was as confident as her fiery sister.  Athena has been named after the Greek goddess of wisdom, but she feels she is a disappointment to her academic parents, who hoped she would follow them into a medical career.

At least her parents are pleased that she is engaged to English aristocrat Charles Fairfax.  But mysterious Italian playboy Luca De Rossi has other plans for Athena!

I hope you enjoy reading about the sisters’ journeys to finding true love!

Best wishes

But when a shocking revelation threatens to engulf the Meadows clan in scandal, can Leo protect the woman he’s determined to fight for?

Dear Reader,

With each story in The Meadows Family series, I fall in love with this family all over again.  It’s Fiona’s turn to decide what is important in her life.  I hope you enjoy this romantic journey that strums on heartstrings and invites you to fall for this winning couple.

At the time of writing this, the announcement of David Bowie’s death had hit the airwaves.  A true pioneer and participant of life and music was gone.  But one of the most memorable parts of his life was his love for Iman and the beautiful courtship of his soul mate that led to their marriage.

The power of love is magical, lasting and transformative.

I hope you also feel the magic with One to Win.

After a daring rescue, basketball star Naomi Venable accepts Zack Keathley’s invitation to spend a week recuperating at his sprawling country estate. The sexy millionaire could have his pick of any woman in the world. But once he sets his sight on Naomi there’s no way she can resist this rugged alpha male’s charm.

Dear Reader,

Want to know what makes The Millionaire’s Ultimate Catch special?  This book closes my Ladies of Distinction sorority series and launches my new Millionaire series filled with sexy, brooding heroes.

Set against the backdrop of Washington and Haiti, this whirlwind romance captures all the elements of a great romantic story – including a hero with a mysterious past wanting to trust his heart, and a fiery heroine who wears her heart on her sleeve and staunchly goes after her goals, even if they are in the distressingly sensual form of Zack Keathley, a true Kimani hero,

I chose Haiti as the hero’s birthplace to present the cultural richness of the country and the warm spirit of its people in this romance.  Then the earthquake hit, causing a devastation to the people and infrastructure there.  So a portion of the proceeds from this book will be donated to a Haiti relief effort.

Hope you enjoy,

Michelle Monkou
