Breaking her man-ban!

Tori Phillips has spent years looking for The One. Unfortunately she’s never been able to find the right one – and when she catches her latest Mr Wrong in flagrante with another woman she imposes a man-ban. But Tori suddenly finds herself regretting her promise when a slight misjudgement finds her in the wrong bed with her new roommate, irresistibly sexy Matt.

Dear Reader,

It was so much fun creating the world of The Flat in Notting Hill with my author friends Nikki Logan, Charlotte Phillips and Louisa George.  Emails frequently bounced between Australia, the UK, New Zealand and South Africa about the four linked books, and as we discussed the storyline we got to know each other a little better-that was a wonderful side-benefit of working with these lovely ladies.  I’m sure our editors are quite glad that we live so far apart; I have no doubt that there would be a marked increase in ladies’ lunches and a sharp decrease in productivity if we were closer!

Tori, my heroine, has really, really, really bad taste in men, and I had so much fun writing about her journey to love and acceptance.  She’s one of those heroines who wrote her own story; she kept surprising me and she frequently went off, did her own thing and left me scratching my head, muttering, ‘That was not what I’d planned!’  Matt, my hero, wasn’t much better at following orders but, because I’m shallow, he’d just smile at me, flash his abs, and I’d forgive him anything.

If you’ve picked this book up as a stand-alone, grab the other three books in the continuity and find out how the other flatmates got their happy-ever-after.

With, as always, my best wishes

Be careful what you wish for!

It’s time for Lu Sheppard to get back in the game—fact. After ten years of playing mom to her younger brothers the boys have left home and she’s determined to make up for lost time! Item number one on her list? A man to have some fun with!

Rugby coach Will Scott is just what Lu needs to ease herself back into the dating game. Only in town temporarily, king of the fling…he’s perfect. But his kisses are so electric that remembering they have an expiry date is getting harder. Suddenly Lu starts wondering…maybe it is possible to have too much of a good thing!

Dear Reader,

I am so enjoying the Modern Tempted series, and I wait in eager anticipation (as I’m sure you do too) to download the new releases every month.

Rugby is a big deal in my part of the world, and we are passionate about our national team the Springboks.  I was watching a post-match interview by one of the coaches and I thought, Mmm-hmm…he’s pretty cute.  I love being a romance novelist, so admiring handsome men can be classified as research!  What if he were super-hot and an ex-bad boy of rugby made good…?  And the story started to take shape in my head.

Will comes to Durban on a three-month contract to be the caretaker coach of the city’s superstar Stingrays rugby team.  Lu, with the twin brothers she raised now at university, is at a loss about what to do now.  She wants to revive her flagging career, and by meeting Will manages to land a job as the Stingrays’ press photographer.  Will, challenged by his best friend Kelby to do something other than bundle a woman into bed and then walk, thinks that Lu would be goof dun to hang with, to help him pass the time in a foreign city.  Lu, who has been dared by the twins to have some fun, thinks that Will would be the perfect companion to ease her into a new life without the daily responsibility and company of her brothers.

They both think that they can ignore the fact that their hair almost catches on fire from the sexual heat they generate … ha-ha-ha!

As per usual, I had the best fun writing this book, and nothing makes me happier than to guide two sexy, headstrong people to their happy-ever-after.  Enjoy!

With my very warmest wishes

“I will consider doing the campaign–seriously consider it–if you sleep with me.”

When Ross Bennett has the not-so-enjoyable pleasure of hearing those words come out of his mouth, he realises he must have left his pants in charge. Because the woman sitting opposite him may be seriously gorgeous, but this is serious business–not some sleazy backroom deal! Until Ally floors him by agreeing to his terms….

Ally Jones may find Ross utterly irresistible, but that can wait: she has a thing or two to teach him first! Her first lesson? Everything comes to those who wait…

Dear Reader,

I have a crazy life.  I have a day job, I write, and I run after my two very busy, sociable children.  Like millions of woman the world over I am a master juggler, and I like to think that most days I have a reasonable balance between working and writing and being an involved mum.  But I have to admit that while  was writing More than a Fling? I frequently dropped the balls of my life and as a result felt stressed and on edge.

And that’s why I found the character of Ally so easy to write.  It’s easy to lose your balance and become super-involved in your career (or your children, or both) and forget to feed your soul.  Showing Ally the error of her workaholic ways was fun, and as I got her life on track mine became easier too.

Ross is the exact opposite of Ally, and it’s through him that she realises her job isn’t everything, and that love and fun are far more important.  Love and fun are always more important.

Wishing you happy reading!

With my best wishes

She’d got his number…luckily!

For savvy antiques dealer Rowan Dunn life is good—until a passport error gets her deported back to South Africa! Stranded at the airport, Rowan can remember only two phone numbers—her parents’ (definitely not an option!) and her best friend’s brother’s. As much as she hates it, Rowan knows she has no choice. It’s time to call Seb Hollis and ask for help….

Seb is even sexier than Rowan remembers—and just as infuriating! He’s always pushed her buttons, but at least now she knows how to push them back. Maybe it’s time to start sleeping with the enemy—even though Rowan’s sure there won’t be a whole lot of sleeping going on…!

Dear Reader,

I write romances about finding love in the twenty-first century, and I love creating quirky heroines-women a little left of centre.  Rowan, I think, is one of my quirkiest to date, and she came about when I was watching a travel programme and the female presenter capture my attention.  Rowan ran into some minor trouble as a teenager, and as soon as she could left home to travel the world.  She’s spent years of bouncing from country to country, and I needed to work out what, and who, would make Rowan settle down-especially in her home town, which holds so many bad memories for her.

Seb is Rowan’s best friend’s brother, her childhood nemesis, and the person whose attention she has always wanted to capture and hang onto.  When she finds herself broke and deported, dreading the idea of returning to Cape Town as the family screw-up, it’s Seb she reluctantly turns to to help her out of trouble.

As they start discovering the adult versions of the children they used to be they both have to learn to trust, to believe in themselves, in each other and in love itself.

Writing romance is the best job in the world, and I hope you enjoy Seb and Rowan’s journey to their happy-ever-after.

With my very best wishes

He can look…but he’s not supposed to touch!

Bodyguard Noah Fraser hasn’t seen diamond heiress Morgan Moreau for eight years—but the image of her naked body has been imprinted on his mind ever since! The sexy socialite was totally off-limits and it took every ounce of Noah’s iron control to walk away….

Now he’s been hired to protect her again, so picking up where they left off definitely isn’t an option. But Noah’s body doesn’t seem to have got the memo—keeping his hands off Morgan is a 24/7 battle! And how can he resist the forbidden when giving in is so irresistibly tempting…?

Dear Reader,

So many children, bright and bold, are failed by the current schooling system because they don’t fit into the ‘academic’ box society wants to shove them into.  Over the years I’ve watched the struggles of a few dyslexic friends and the pain mothers of dyslexic children experience because school is a minefield for them.  Because I believe that there are many different types of intelligence, and that one isn’t better than another, I wanted to explore the effects dyslexia can have on an adult-especially one who comes from a wealthy, important and prominent family.  Morgan, my bright, brave and bold heroine, is a result of those musings.

And Noah…  Oh, I’m so in love with Noah.  He’s pulled himself out of a shocking family situation and is hard and tough, but he acts with integrity and honour.  He’s a sexy, reticent ex-SAS Scot who thinks he doesn’t need anyone or anything.  He probably doesn’t…except Morgan.  And he doesn’t much like it.

Morgan and Noah are equally strong and equally vulnerable, and I so enjoyed getting to know them.  I hope you will too!

With my best wishes
