Trent is fiercely proud of making his own fortune, despite his controlling father. And he’s always believed his brother got the girl who should have been Trent’s. Now he’ll have the family business, and his brother’s widow in the bargain. But will their romantic reunion be waylaid by Savannah’s shocking baby secret?

Dear Reader,

I’m delighted to be back in Las Vegas for The Black Sheep’s Secret Child, and it was nice to revisit some characters from my original Las Vegas Nights series to see what they’re up to.  I’d like to thank my senior editor, Stacy Boyd, for suggesting a series set in the fascinating world of Vegas nightclubs.  The first book in the Club T’s Las Vegas Nights series, which is also a Billionaires and Babies novel, is both a reunion and a secret baby story.  I hope you enjoy Savannah and Trent’s second chance at love.

Happy reading,

Returning from active duty to find his ranch being dug up by a beautiful stranger isn’t the homecoming navy SEAL Gavin Blake expected. Layla Harris is convinced there’s buried treasure on his land. But the only treasure this wealthy rancher wants to uncover is the professor’s secret desires! When Layla unearths family secrets—and mysterious threats—he vows to do whatever it takes to protect her. Even as her revelations change everything…

Dear Reader,

It’s hard to believe that I introduced the Westmorelands almost fifteen years ago.  At the time, little did I know you would welcome them into your home and heart the same way I had allowed them into mind.  Originally, the Westmoreland family’s series was intended to be just six books, but more than thirty books later the saga continues.

I am proud to present the first book in a spin-off series about the friends and family of the Westmorelands – The Westmoreland Legacy series.  First on centre stage is Gavin Blake.  Gavin, code name Viper, is a Navy SEAL and a good friend to Bane Westmoreland.  You met Viper in Bane.

While writing Bane’s story, Viper stood out, and I knew I had to tell his story.  I believe I selected the perfect heroine for Viper.  She’s a woman by the name of Layla Harris.  Both Viper and Layla discover that when it comes to true love, anything is possible.

I hope you enjoy reading their story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Happy reading!

For billionaire horse breeder Drew Farrell, the day starts with the usual argument with ornery neighbor Beth Andrews. But within minutes, he and the irritating beauty are huddled together in a storm cellar praying for their lives. They call a truce…and seal it with an unexpected kiss.

They emerge to a scene of utter devastation. Their passion to rebuild is only rivaled by the very personal passion they’ve just discovered…until Beth’s past catches up with her, and a very different type of storm erupts…

Dear Reader,

In April of 2009, my husband and I traveled to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to visit family for Easter weekend.  Saturday, a hot and muggy day, we went out for lunch.  The steakhouse we chose had a bank of televisions over the bar area.

As we ate our meal, we glanced again and again at the weather maps covered with yellow, orange and – most sinister of all – red areas.  Storms were popping up all over the South.

At the time, however, nothing was happening exactly where we were…not even rain.  After lunch, we planned to hit the grocery store to stock up on food for the next day’s lunch.  The women said we should go home.  The men said we had time to do our errand first.

We piled into the car, turned left out of the parking lot, and immediately saw something pretty darned terrifying.  A funnel cloud dropped out of the sky.

Imagine a lot of yelling and throwing the car into Reverse.  We, along with a crowd of other people, ran back into the restaurant and huddled in the restrooms.  We stayed there a very long time, not really knowing when it was safe to head back outside.

Later, we saw the damage.  An F4 tornado, half a mile wide, had stayed on the ground for twenty-two miles.  Miraculously, there were fewer than five fatalities.

That memory was very much in my mind as I wrote Stranded with the Rancher.  In the future, though, I’d rather not do my research quite so thoroughly!

Have fun with this first installment of Texas Cattleman’s Club:  After the Storm.  Thanks for reading.  🙂

Rules of the Ring…  No unsportsmanlike conduct

Matchmaker Lindsey Tuttle always thought Rich Estrada was a whole lot of sexy. What’s not to lust after? He’s a gorgeous, flirty mixed martial arts fighter. When they find themselves heating up during an unexpected-and super-intense-make-out session, Lindsey is ready…until Rich ends it with no explanation.

Three rounds…

Now it’s almost a year later, and Rich has a broken foot,  which means a frustrating recovery back in Boston before  his next fight. But this could be the perfect time for a rematch  with a sexy little matchmaker….

And minimal clothing!

There’s no denying the chemistry between them. It’s full-contact, no-holds-barred attraction…and only one can be on top!

Dear Reader,

Welcome back to Wilinski’s Fight Academy!  Got your shorts?  Mouth guard?  Hands wrapped and gloves secured?  Then let’s go!

If you read Making Him Sweat, you’ve already met Rich Estrada – rising MMA star and shameless flirt.  The only thing more powerful than his right hook is that Boston accent.  I’ve pitted him against another familiar face, fledgling matchmaker Lindsey Tuttle.  She’s a tough opponent; freshly single and more than a little skeptical when it comes to swaggery men.  Good luck with that, Rich.

These stories have been a blast to work on.  I love writing fighters.  As someone who practiced Tae Kwon Do long enough to realize beyond the shadow of a doubt that she possess absolutely zero bloodlust, I envy men and women who can step into a ring and square off with another person on such a primal level.  I’m all flight and no fight.  Probably explains why I’m a runner, not a kickboxer.

But whether you’re a wuss like me or a total badass, I hope you’ll enjoy!  And if you close this book wanting more, keep an eye out for the next story in the series, Driving Him Wild, in which Wilinski’s very first female trainer goes head-to-head with the absolute worst electrician ever licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Happy reading!

Texas billionaire Joc Arnaud had triumphed over his illegitimate roots to become a business legend. And no baby of his would grow up penniless and ridiculed like he had. So whether Rosalyn Oakley liked it or not, their child would bear his name. As would she. He knew Rosalyn wanted nothing more than to run back to her little ranch and never lay eyes on him again. Too bad. Because she wasn’t going anywhere with his baby.

Dear Reader,

You met Joc Arnaud as a minor character in The Prince’s Mistress, where he “negotiated” a marriage contract between his sister, Ana, and Prince Lander Montgomery.  Lander warned Joc that the time would come when Joc would find himself in a similar situation.  “Someday you’ll find yourself boxed into a corner like this.  Remember me when that happens, Arnaud.  Remember, and know that you brought it on yourself when you forced this agreement on the one woman you should have protected, and the one man who will do whatever it takes to see that you pay for your arrogance.”

Well, that time has come and Joc is thrust into the negotiation of his life.

I love stories that put characters into tight spots and force them to make tough decisions.  It strips them down to the bare essence of who they are and what they want – and what lengths they’ll go to obtain that ultimate desire.  Stories like those make me wonder…what’s most important in our lives?  And what extremes will we go to gain what we want most?

“I Have Never Forgotten That Night.”

Once, he’d chosen duty over love. Now, to escape his guilt and grief, widower King Rafiq Mehdi searches out the comfort of his old flame Dr. Maysa Barad. Her passionate surrender makes him realize that Maysa is the woman he should have married. Instead, his marriage of convenience brought nothing but pain and heartbreak. Maysa—beautiful, devoted, compassionate—is now considered too independent to be a sheikh’s bride. Rafiq may be ready to defy his kingdom to have Maysa this time, but the truth about Maysa could turn Rafiq’s world upside down…

Dear Reader,

Each time I settle in front of my computer to begin a book, I always make lots of coffee, hide some kind of candy in my desk drawer and populate a music playlist with selections I believe best capture the mood of the story.  Of course, most of those songs are romantic ballads, a no-brainer when you write romance.  However, the tunes always vary in terms of genre – from country music to classical – because, simply put, I have extremely eclectic taste in music, as well as an affinity for all things chocolate.

I didn’t veer from my usual routine when I began One Night with the Sheikh.  After I’d decided where I wanted the story to go, I immediately went to work finding specific tunes that I felt would be inspirational.  I chose several songs by various performers, including Journey, Don Henley and New Age artist Constance Demby, by virtue of her hauntingly beautiful instrumentals.  But I have to admit, the two standouts on the list are “One of These Nights” by the Eagles and “Desert Rose” by Sting.  If you’re curious to know exactly what was filtering through my headphones during the love scenes, chances are it was one of these two songs.

When King Rafiq Mehdi and Dr. Maysa Barad are anywhere near each other, you can bet there will be a high level of chemistry, and they deserve background music to match.  After all, they’ve never forgotten that one incredible night they spent together years ago.  But sometimes one night just isn’t quite enough – even if it is forbidden.

Hope you enjoy the beautiful music Rafiq and Maysa make together!

Blake Hartwell is a sexy-as-sin rodeo champion with money to burn and a way with the ladies, but to Karly Ewing he’s her soon-to-be ex! Their whirlwind affair ended with Vegas “I dos”—but saying yes was a mistake. So Karly heads to his ranch, divorce papers in hand, only to be stranded with the man she can’t resist! Will temptation lead them to happily-ever-after? Or will Blake’s secrets tear them apart for good?

Dear Reader,

A few years ago, I introduced you to Blake Hartwell, the best friend of the hero in my book In the Rancher’s Arms.  So many of you wrote to tell me how much you loved Blake and wanted to read his story that, this month, I’m happy to be bringing you his book.

When Blake ran into Karly Ewing in a Las Vegas hotel lobby, he bought her a drink to apologize for his carelessness.  By the end of the day, they were lovers.  By the end of the week, they were married.  And by the end of the next week, they were filing for divorce.

In The Rancher’s One-Week Wife we take a look at what happens when a couple who think they’re divorced find out they’re not only still married, but that they still can’t seem to keep their hands off each other.  Unfortunately, they both have secrets that could very well make finding their happily-ever-after impossible.

Sometimes rocky, sometimes filled with unexpected detours, the road to love is never easy.  But it’s always worth the journey.

All the best,

Kathie DeNosky

What happens in the office stays in the office?

Real estate CEO Carson Newport is determined to build a children’s hospital to honor the single mother who’d raised him and his brothers. But when his PR director Georgia Adams finds the perfect place to build, she must convince a lecherous business rival to give up his bid for the land. Carson doesn’t exactly like the idea of her getting close to the enemy, especially as his own feelings for her are heating up during those long hours at the office! But will an explosive family secret prevent him from getting to know Georgia much, much better?

Dear Reader,

When I was asked to participate in this series, I was told that my story would be the first.  It made me a little nervous.  What if my book was boring and no one read the rest of the series?  What if I made a change that screwed up my fellow authors in later books and they all hated me?  Let it never be said that I’m not a worrywart.  I stress out about everything, as many authors do.  But thankfully, there was little for me to be concerned about.  This is a great story and it didn’t require me to change things later in the series.

The Newport brothers are a force to be reckoned with, and I was very happy to have Carson’s story.  As the youngest, he’s never really felt like he belongs.  No one understands how that feels more than his public relations director, Georgia.  As a foster child, she’s never had a family of her own but she’s found something close with her coworkers at the Newport Corporation.  She’s made a great life and a career for herself and she isn’t about to risk it, even for the attentions of her handsome and charming boss.  That just spells disaster.

Carson isn’t the kind that takes no for an answer, however!  Once his lips touch Georgia’s, there’s no going back.  That’s where the fun begins.  If you enjoy Carson and Georgia’s story, tell me by visiting my website at, liking my fan page on Facebook or following me on Twitter.  I’d love to hear from you!

Divorce attorney to the stars Reed Hudson knows there’s no such thing as happily-ever-after. But the red-headed stunner who walks into his office with an infant in her arms will put him to the test.

Lilah Strong just brought a baby girl to a man who splits up families for a living. Now he wants Lilah to stay on as temporary nanny to his niece. Reed Hudson’s plush hotel suite is a world away from Lilah’s rustic mountain home. Will their undeniable attraction end in heartbreak…or forever?

Dear Reader,

I love writing Billionaires and Babies books.  It’s always so much fun to hand a baby off to a man who has absolutely no clue what to do with it and then stand back and watch the show.

In The Baby Inheritance you’ll meet Reed Hudson, a man who has avoided love and commitment like the plague.  His own parents have been married multiple tomes, so he’s seen the misery of marriage up close and personal-and he has no intention of ever getting caught in that tender trap.

Lilah Strong is a woman who loves family.  So when her best friend Spring dies, Lilah cares for the woman’s infant daughter.  Until she discovers that Spring has left her daughter’s care to her brother, Reed Hudson.

Lilah and Reed clash instantly, but beneath all of the bluster is plenty of heat.

I really hope you love this book as much as I do!  Please visit me on Facebook and let me know what you think!

Until next time, happy reading!
