When that guy on the train turns out to be your boss!

Nurse Felicity Mitchell’s train journey of a lifetime is even more unforgettable when she meets Callum Hollingsworth. Neither is looking for temptation, but that doesn’t stop them from sharing one hot, wild night!

Except when they disembark, they learn that what happened on the train won’t stay on the train. Because the gorgeous stranger is Flick’s new boss…and it’s increasingly difficult to keep their chemistry under control and leave it at just one night!

Dear Reader,

When I was asked to write a duo with Emily Forbes centering around a house swap, I leaped at the chance.  I simply adored the movie The Holiday, and thought the concept would be great to play around with.  There are no snowy cottages or Jude Laws in this one, but there is Outback Australia, a delicious wounded doc and a no-nonsense small-town nurse who’s superwary of love – particularly when it comes in the form of a very temporary locum.

I was also thrilled finally to be able to put a train in a book!  In 2012 my husband and I travelled on the Indian Pacific from Sydney all the way across the country to Perth, and I have been wanting to put that trip in a book ever since.  Growing up as the daughter of a railway man, I’ve always felt trains are in my blood, and some of my happiest childhood memories involve train trips with the family.  There’s just something so romantic about saloon cars, moonlit landscapes flitting by and two strangers making love all night to the clickerty-clack of the rails against the track.

I hope you enjoy the journey through this book as much as I did bringing it to you.

Happy reading – and all aboard!

Dr Cade Coleman wants to redeem his heartbreaker reputation. That’s why this drop-dead sexy playboy has moved to Gold Coast City Hospital, leaving a scandal in New York far behind him. Only the delicious Dr Callie Richards has him falling at the first hurdle!

Usually strictly professional, Callie’s encounter with Cade knocks her off her feet. Only he’s determined that there’ll be no re-runs. While she knows she should try to forget that amazing night, too, Cade — who’s so hot he should come with a health warning — is the ultimate temptation!

Dear Reader,

I hope you have been enjoying the Gold Coast Angels series.  Having been a part of a few continuities now, I can tell you without hesitation how very much I enjoy them.  It’s nice not to write in isolation for a change, to live in a world that you build together with your fellow writers, brick by brick, and where everyone knows you!

I hope you are buckled up for Cade and Callie’s story.  Cade was one of the secondary characters in the hugely successful New York City Angels series, and I know readers have been clamouring for his HEA.

The problem is both Cade and Callie have baggage-relationships that have broken them and made them determined to hold themselves back.  Their careers have taken priority in their lives and they like it that way!

But fate has different ideas for these two, and I hope you enjoy their dance as they realise that career is just one aspect of a whole life.  And that sometimes you need to give in to temptation and surrender to a higher power-love.

Happy reading!

Her million-pound question!

Supermodel Ava Kelly is more used to luxury yachts than London canal boats. But she desperately needs a refuge from the paparazzi and delectable Blake Walker’s boat will provide the perfect bolt-hole. This brooding ex-soldier is bound to rescue her, right…?

Wrong. Pampered princess Ava is the last person Blake wants in his personal space—she’s far too tempting! But with a million-pound charity donation hanging in the balance Blake can’t say no. Now that Ava’s close enough to touch, keeping his hands off her is pretty difficult, too! Maybe money isn’t the only thing at stake this Christmas…

Dear Reader,

I’ve always had a secret hankering to do a bodyguard story.  I just adore the trope.  And, whilst this book isn’t a typical bodyguard scenario, I hope you like my take on it-because I’ve had Ava and Blake in my head in various incantations for a long time now, and it was great to finally get them down on paper.

I had a lot of fun taking mega-rich, mega-spoiled supermodel Ava and shoving her on a tiny canal boat in the UK with the only man on the planet who seems impervious to her charms.  I had even more fun needling private, serious, returned soldier Blake with the temptation of a woman who has absolutely no problem with baring acres of skin or leaving her lingerie all over his floating home.

I’m pleased I let Ava and Blake marinate, though.  Had I written their story years ago, I don’t think they’d have had the emotional complexity they do today.  Because underneath Ava’s hard, demanding surface is a woman who can’t trust.  And beneath Blake’s tough pragmatic shell is a man whose physical limitations cripple him emotionally.

Which only makes their HEA even more rewarding!

I hope you enjoy their journey to love.  Oh, and London at Christmas!

Talk nerdy to me…

Samuel Tucker is absolutely the last person scientist Cassie Barclay would ever date. Yes, he’s gorgeous, but he’s also far too cocky for his own good and thinks that Pi is a tasty afternoon treat. So when he asks her to dance at her friend Reese’s non-wedding she’s wondering why on earth she says yes!

Tuck is used to people assuming he’s all brawn and no brain, and amuses himself by winding Cassie up. But when he finally takes her to bed, suddenly it’s Tuck who can show Cassie a thing or two! Can he convince her that love and sex have nothing to do with logic and everything to do with chemistry?

Dear Reader,

I’m so excited to be involved in my very first Modern Tempted continuity and to have worked with three authors who are not only wonderful writers bu absolutely fabulous women!  Writing a set of linked stories especially when each writer is separated by vast amounts of land and/or ocean can be challenging, but I think I can speak for all of us when I say we had a lot of fun during our online brainstorming sessions.  I know for me there was something beautifully symbiotic about the depth of friendship between our four fictional friends and the way our friendships deepened over the course of the continuity,

I had a great time writing Girl Least Likely to Marry, affectionately known to us and those who follow me on twitter, as the #jock and the #geekgirl.  But, I have to tell you, it was much more difficult than I ever imagined.  As someone used to writing heroines with emotional depth, Cassie was a true challenge because, while she had IQ to burn, her EQ was practically non-existent.  It took me quite a while to get a handle on her and I think I only really managed it by getting inside the hero’s head.  Tuck, in his laid-back Texan way, totally got Cassie.  And getting to know him gave me a way to understand her.

I think out of all my heroes, I love Tuck the most.  And that’s not just because he’s the kind of guy that belongs on a billboard advertising underwear (you know the kind, right?), but because his utterly alpha competitive spirit refused to let Cassie settle for the half-life she’d accepted as her lot.

I really hope you enjoy Cassie and Tuck’s story about two people who weren’t looking for love but found it anyway!

Love,

Amy

Journalist Sadie Bliss is on a mission to prove herself as a world-class reporter. But three things stand in her way…

  1. Dangerously mouthwatering photographer Kent Nelson-he’s far too brooding and arrogant.
  1. A road trip across the Outback with the above distraction-did she mention she doesn’t do sleeping under the stars?
  1. An insatiable longing to throw her rule book out of the car window… Because what happens in the Outback stays in the Outback. Right?
